A perspective of the world from a small horse farm in northern New York, populated by an 25-year-old Paint gelding, a 22-year old Appaloosa mare, two wanna-be barn cats, some chickens, and a midlife couple trying to hold it all together.

Gorgeous view
Here is the view from Phil Hodge's place in Hartford, NY, where we get our hay. It is beautiful countryside.
Beautiful fields and beautiful hay. My hay guy has a farm in NY State somewhere. I will have to check the town next time I see him.
I can't store as much hay as you, so I have to get about 60 bales at a time. Fortunately the hay man is just across the street. Worse case scenario, I have to drive about 9 miles or so.
Well, storage isn't a problem when you hay supply is so convenient! We're about 3 miles about from my guy, but it's still nice to have a year's worth stashed away. His hay is nice, so it goes quick and I like to make sure I got my dibs!

So far it's working out well.
